Hi Princess,
just make sure you have everything ticked when you do a save All for your own purposes. There may be stuff that you haven't even used , but all said & done , it's only space on a usb stick or copy it to your pc for backup.

I also do saves of just the style sets ( again I date them) if I'm auditioning them & loading & deleting, I even do a save of individual styles if I'm sharing styles with other people. If I sent them a save All, I could end up wiping ot there data if they accidently loaded all of mine.

If you need any help on style editing functions , happy to help. Just don't overwrite you existing styles till you know what you've edited still works ok.

If you decide to try & create, one fairly foolproof method is copying style parts from various styles to create new ones.

best wishes
Rikki

Hi Stephen,
we usually learn the hard way. haahaa
Couldn't think of anything worse than losing a days work let alone weeks & weeks of it.

I only lost the original songbook with just a few entries, what really irritated me was, I'd been happily learning how convert one of my favourite yammie styles ( without using EMC) I'd spent hours on it sorting out different settings etc to get the piano arpeggio's playing correctly. (Didn't really quite know what I was doing.)Next day I accidently loaded something over the top of it. I had no backup.
It's been 3 months, I finally redid it again. Somewhat different metod this time..
I don't think I would have bothered again except my PA doesn't have an equivalent type of simple, strings / piano arpeggio ballad. (Actually sounds better on my Korg than it does on my psr1500.)

The style was redo able, but I couldn't imagine anything worse than losing a songbook. How on earth would you remember all the songs & settings , let alone all the work involved in putting it back together again. eek
best wishes
Rikki

After downloading my resources, I only had 300 songbook songs! I noticed I had NO country tunes and many more. I'll try to load again and see. I used the CD software. Any suggestions?
Thanks, zuki

Hi Zuki,
what operating system is showing up when you switch on your PA800?
Is it definately 1.51??

I bought mine new 3 months ago, but the CD still only had the original vers 1 operating system.

Not saying that's the case with yours. Does it say 1.5 on the cd??
I downloaded my 1.51 &1.50 files from Korg PA.

best wishes

Zuki, I picked up my Pa2xPro and there are only 300 songbook entries as the default. I don't remember whether it is the same for the PA800.

Hi Paula,
the page numbers differ between my earlier manual & your newer 1.5.
I actually have a copy of the new manual on my PC, just haven't gotten round to printing the 300 or so pages.

The Page 239 etc you mentioned is the Save All functions I was referring to.

Probably best when quoting page numbers to also mention which version manual we're using.

When they did the 1.5 resources upgrade, additional functions were added, & the additional 10 pages or so of info came on a pdf file.

Probably why our manuals are roughly 10 pages out of sync.

best wishes
Rikki

Rikki -

Yes, I downloaded both the 1.51 and the 1.50 versions, which show up as such in my keyboard. I think it's odd that I have NO country songs in my songbook???

Can you check for me to see how many songs you have in your songbook please?

Thanks, zuki
