Morning all,

I own a Roland VP9000 which to be honest, I have just recently started to get used to. Anyway, I am trying to create the old 'Reversed Reverb' sound with a vocal word. To be honest, this machine is a bloody knightmare to operate, and I was hoping you pros might be able to offer me an experienced tutorial?

Thanks for reading this topic!

tricky...

Well the here's how it's done, as far as I know:
record the vocal sample..
reverse the sample..
now play the reversed sample into your reverb unit, and record that.
Reverse this new sample, and hopefully you have the reverb building up, and then the original vocal part.

In the good ol' days this was done by tape.
I've done it, and it's very effective Ha!

yes, live reverse reverb, while available on some machines, is not real. Do what the guy says to above for actual results.

Thanks for the feedback. I do actually know how to do the effect, as I currently do it using my PC with SX3. However, I would ideally like to take the pressure off the PC and use my samplers. The VP9000 has built in effects (Delay, Reverb) but the manual is rubbish to be honest, and I cannot figure the machine out. Roland are cluselss (no offence Roland!).

I was hoping there might be a Roland VP9000 user on this forum who might understand the process for this particular machine...

Again, kind thanks for the support!
