As far as I am aware there is only one manufacture that makes virtually every combination of keyboard available on one instrument, this being Bohm, therefore I have included the specs on weight and price (With the weight and price differences easily transferable to other manufactures) just to see how many would be prepared to spend the extra, and carry the extra weight.

I personally would love an arranger with 88 gha keys, for instance the Fatar TP40GH-ES.

Styles that are as good as Korg's (I personally feel these styles are more balanced and a bit more modern sounding than yamaha and roland, but that is my preferance)

Multi layered samples, like Megavoice or RX technology to make the styles come alive!

A real piano mode, where the autocomp follow the bass notes, the root note of the base should trigger chords. If a third is not specified the comp should play 5ths, or retrieve the third from the right hand.

Give me a good control surface, and a touch screen

Take out speakers, metal frames and all that extra weight, and give me all this in a sub 30lbs package

I just don't see where ANY 61 note keyboard can be called 'weighted'. It just dilutes the meaning of the word. Sure, it's got SOME mass (or it wouldn't exist!), but for it to have any meaning as a key-touch description, the common usage has been...
unweighted - PSR
semi-weighted - (from lightest to heaviest) T2, G70, K2500
weighted - RD700SX, P90, etc.

To use the word 'weighted' on a 61 organ keyboard is marketing gobbledygook.

Now, can anyone work out how much lighter your wallet will be after buying one of these...?

What a different a missing quote makes, eh.

I would have gleefully payed more for a 76 or 88 key version in both $ and weight when I got my T2. Don't think Yamaha is listening to me. Once the T3 comes out I'll reassess and maybe switch to the Korg PA2x.

I notice that the wieght and price difference between 61 and 76 key is completely negligible.

The weight is not bad...approx 35 lbs for the 61/76...but the price? Eeeeeek!

Have you looked at the pictures...? The cases are HUGE. I imagine that the keyboard itself is a small fraction of the case, electronics and all the controls. Were it a flyweight plastic case, the action would make a bigger difference, but with a bunch of electronics and a solid looking case, the action itself is only a small percentage of the total.
