Fried green tomatoes are just fine. I draw the line at grits however.

GRITS !!! the any meal food ... with eggs and sausage for breakfast, with a splash of maple syrup, or as a side dish for lunch or dinner sprinkled with salt and pepper, and maybe a dash of tabasco ...

Tom, just heard from your family...they're coming over Friday night. Hope they're tone deaf!

Be a treat to see them. Told them I knew you can pick your friends but not your family.

Looking forward to it!

Russ,

Great. They are actually my wife's family. Pam and my wife are first cousins. Her husband Dick is one of my best friends. He and I started golfing at the same time. It is bad for me that he usually beats me. They are visiting Pam's sister Sandy who obviously is also my wife's first cousin. Don't believe anything they say about me. I'm sure it is all lies.

I'm sure they will experience a great night of entertainment. Some day when we go to visit Sandy you and I will meet in person. I'm looking forward to it.

Thanks again,

Tom

Tom, really enjoyed my visit with your family. The croud was sparce between 5 and 8 because of Black Friday, but they were delightful and I'm looking forward to seeing them again.

The cousin(?) works at a Home Hepot I go to all the time...I recognized him from there, and he's going to take the job as head of maintenance for a big, upscale restaurant group. Folks from the group have talked to me about playing over the years, so, who knows, we may work together sometime.

A nice visit with nice folks. I lived in Oscoda as a kid (military brat) and my grandparents were in Detroit.

All in all, they made the evening.

I wanted to let our forum community know that my cousins visited Lexington KY and heard Captain Russ perform. They said he is an excellent musician and entertainer. He also treated them to an awesome display of southern hospitality. I am jealous. Someday I will get there and hear him in person. Thanks for everything Russ!
