Chas..."tradin fours" with Groove Holmes, Jack McDuff and others? Now I KNOW you're ready to join the "Feeble Winds".

I'm lucky. I keep a "B" and a 147 at a local Country Club and play it and a DX-7 with a drummer 8-10 times a month there. Plus, I now have my restored "M" and a 145 at the office to fool with whenever I get a minute.

B-3 power trios are a GREAT part of jazz-blues history. We're lucky we were around and participated. Man, you know your B-3 players and history.

Oh man, I remember salivating over the DX7 when they first came out - wife wouldn't let me buy.

Next time in Lexington, I'll look you up.

If I had to search for the many times that you or others have repeated topics this thread would never end. Since this is the fourth time this topic has been repeated, why didn't you tell the second and third thread starter to use the search engine. I guess you've got something on your mind.

Nigel, please delete this thread as well for once it's been hi-jacked it's no longer of any use.

Zuki, you'll be VERY WELCOME! Most jobs are not on the B or M...I keep them around (and in stationery positions-no moving) for nostalgic reasons.

Ode to a repeated Thread

Oh I have racked my brain
Reading SZ posts each day
And yes Im near insane
From posts that wont go away

Theres threads on keyboards
Theres threads on amps
Theres threads on American Idol
And the price of 39-cent stamps

Theres threads about fakers
And guys who cant sing
Theres threads about big names
And styles that dont swing

A now a new headaches
Made its way to my lid
Seems theres posters out there
Postin posts someone else did

Its good for a laugh
And a laugh aint so bad
Beats readin the obits
And sittin around sad

I rarely post
So Im free of blame
At least for repeatin a thread
I have no cause for shame

I dont really mind
If a thread gets repeated
As long as the members
Can remain under heated

Cheers!

Taike, and cgiles,
I enjoyed hearing about your beginnings and early experiences thanks for sharing with us.
I fondly remember the "jazz trios", even the solo B3 player I'll bet alot of areas had a "Mr. Hammond" and of course the beginning of rock and soul with the B3 made a big impression on me.
Best duo I ever saw was a hammond and a drummer both sang, played all the rock top 40 hits of the 60's. Left us other musicians amazed at the sound they put out.
