hey all of you
i have a little problem and looking for a solution
i own a sd1 and a yamaha qy700 seq
i want to play the arrangments a sd1 using the sound module of the qy700
the sound that comes out of the qy700 is very
strange for some midi channels and only
when i play the internal styles of the sd1
the notes are very high and the sound is horrible.
the bass and drums are ok but some of the other sounds used to the arrangemnts are not
as should be.
midi tx and rx filters are off and programme
change also
is there any solution to this.

Sounds like you have some of the "grooves" sending their strange midi date to the Yamaha. Try shutting off the midi transmission in all drum tracks and see if it disappears. The groove tracks are actual samples, and will never conform to any synth patch, or sound.

I FORGOT TO TELL YOU THAT WHEN YOU PLAY
BOTH SD1 AND QY700 ON THE SAME ARRANGEMENT
THE BASS SOUND GET MORE PRESENT AND THE DRUMS
ALSO
TRY TO SEE WHAT BOTH CAN DO WHEN THEY PLAY
TOGETHER. A NEW SOUND DIMENSION
YOU MAY ALSO SWITCH THE SOUND IN THE YAMAHA TO PLAY ANOTHER INSTRUMENT WHILE THE SD1 ARRANGEMENT PLAY ANOTHER SOUND ESPECIALLY FOR SYNTH SOUNDS .
GREAT

Vel,
Do me a favor and turn your caps lock off. It's easier to read all small letters than large ones. I am a lte bloomer when it comes to typing, and I HATE it, but ..... welcome to the new milennium !
