I visited a store and looked at PSR2000 and I was impressed with the fact that the layout and organization of the keyboard was greatly imporved over PSR740. For example, now there is a dedicated buttons for TEMPO and so many other things. The voices and drums are good like PSR740. I did not play with it for long time. I am wondering is the speaker on PSR740 better than PSR2000?

Casio MZ2000. Nice keyboard, lot of buttons and sliders. I did not get the chance to play it well... only one drums and few voices. The Grandpiano 1 &2 sounds were not that good. Certainly I need more time to examine other voices and look at styles.

Actually the speakers on the 2000 are much improved over the 740, along with many other areas.
The one thing I miss about the 740 is the automatic Groove button.

Sk880user,
The sound of the 740 was very good. But had
no power! The amplifier in the 2000 will push out 12W (12+12) per chanel & sounds great!
Thats twice what the 740 would do! (6+6W)
Answer: "NO".
All the best,
Nobby
