I was vondering how much does PA 80 cost in US dollars,as here in Australia they are still a rip-off

I tought about that one but when I foud out it was made in China I sort of cooled down from it...

I played both PA-80 and PA-50 and the differences are small. Sound and Style wise they are fully identical, and money-wise it is the biggest bargain you can buy. Futhermore there should be at least a year's warranty if not more. Go for it !!!!

So far so good. Although after switching from a Yamaha psr-740 there is a learning curve, but every day I play-I become more used to the interface. I don't see any problems at this point and I registered it online so I got a warrany extention.

Yes, sounds and styles are similar, but I have seen that keys size isn't similar. Pa50 has smaller keys, as Yamaha keyboards; PA80 has normal size keys, similar to Rolands, Korg, professional synths, or pianos.
This is something very important for me.
You may see a difference of 1 inch along the 5 octaves.

Actually, the key size on the PA50 is longer than the PA80. It was the now discontinued PA60 which had the smaller key size.
Here in the USA the Manufactures suggested retail price for the PA50 is $1299 and the MSRP for the PA80 is $2650. The Street prices are $999 for the PA50 and $2150 for the PA80. Prices went up last January for the PA80 and the newly released PA1X keyboards because of our weaker dollar vs the Euro.
I have sold dozens of PA50's and haven't had any problems from customers because of the keyboard being made in China. Actually, with all the China made mixers , keyboards, guitars, etc. etc., I would prefer all my Italian made keyboards be made in China. I would probably see fewer repairs!

The size of the keys on the PA50 are fine-it's the sturdiness of the keys that is the issue. The keys feel-in my opinion too light, and may be an issue for someone that likes very sturdy keys. My biggest issue-so far is I have a hard time hitting the fill buttons-for some reason I initally go for the Intro, or Ending buttons instead. Maybe I can program a footswitch to do the fills.
