Has anyone with a G-70 figured out how to get a break mute (a silence to the next bar)?

Every other Roland arranger I have ever seen and used has had this essential button (can you think of a song that doesn't break SOMEWHERE??!!) and after poring through the manuals I finally found the feature is implimented in the MIDI specs, but seems to have no way of attaching it to an action or button. So if any smart guy/gal out there has figured this one out, PLEASE post with the workaround.

And if Roland Italy is reading this.......... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring back a way to assign this ESSENTIAL feature to the assignable switches or foot pedals (or D-Beam or telepathy or whatever!).

Please read this article:
http://www.selskabsmusikeren.dk/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=87&Itemid=43

By the way - "Roland Italy", "Roland Scandinavia" and "Roland US" have all registered at www.selskabsmusikeren.dk as users. Roland has for a while been scanning the website for input from the users, so posting messages in the forum section on www.selskabsmusikeren.dk is your direct way to communicate with Roland!

Roland Italy is scanning the "Bugs" section on the website for input on any potential bugs found by the users. The next system update 2.0 which is due to release soon will fix most of the bugs mentioned in the "bugs section" at www.selskabsmusikeren.dk.

So if you have some input please go to www.selskabsmusikeren.dk and post them now, so we all can benefit from your questions and proposals :-)

For the sake of precision, Roland Europe is the manufacturer of G-70; Roland Italy is the Italian distributor of Roland products.

Just to re-iterate - I have heard Roland Europe (sorry!) will re-introduce the break/mute in OS 2.0.

Hats off to Roland!

After the break, does it have to advance to the next bar or can it start from the beginning of the style.

If at the beginning of the style, wouldn’t a start stop pedal do the job?

What is reported at the page you linked is absolutely wrong: Roland Italy and Roland Europe are two different companies; the first one is the Italian distributor of Roland products and is located in Arese, near Milan; the second one has developed and manufactured the G-70 (and other previous Roland arrangers like E-70, G-1000, VA-7, etc.) and is located in Acquaviva Picena (prov. Ascoli Piceno - reg. Marche), a small town in the center of Italy near to the Adriatic Sea.
