As I was putting something in my "watch" items, a link came on telling me someone used my password, so I needed to reset. If not, I would be unable to bid, etc. I chose to ignore the message. All is fine.

I like to send these scammers bogus information. I make up numbers and stuff then submit them. I figure they think that they have a live one. I would love to see their faces when they discover the information is as bogus as they are.

I got that one yesterday. I forwarded it to spoof@paypal.com and within minutes they got back to me and told me it was fake.
One way to tell if it's real, and I think I got this tip here, is they will use your real name they will never send an email saying dear paypal customer. They will use your full name not your email address.
I almost fell a couple of times. and did fall once filled out half the form but went and changed my info just in case.

Important....

I do want to point out that I do alot of business with Paypal ... I'm currently getting
3.76% cash back with any purchase. This cash
back helps to off set the fee's of doing business with paypal... in my opinion.

I just thought I'd put the warning out....

Hi Tom: When you send Bogus information that's just what they want. Here is a Quote
from an article on Phising that appears in
todays Daily Progress (Charlottesville Va).
" Don't reply to a phising e-mail (even with false information). You have just told
the scammer that he has reached a good email
address, and that has invited even more spam
and scams into your mailbox"
Bruce
