At last...my PSR-2000 is on it`s way and should be in the store by tomorrow 3-02-2000.
Needless to say I am so excited as this purchase was made possible through advice by this Forum. Could somebody please tell me if I should make a back-up of anything or download version 1:12 of the OPERATING SYSTEM.Is the 9000 ready for use when I receive it or should I watch out for something in particular??? I did find a site dealing with these matters but i am unsure of what exactly should be done. I hope I can call on you to assist if I do not know what to do...Thanks...Hein

I had my PSR9000 2 weeks ago, and I'm still so exited.
It's fully ready, when you receive it, but some of the editing functions
will have to wait for OS 2.0 in april. This should include full voice edit,
full song edit, sample edit, extra organ flute footage and more.
Stil, there's more than enough to keep you busy until then.
I have'nt opdated to OS 1.12 myself. I just get nightmares imagining it
does'nt work and leave me with a keyboard and a non-operating OS. Has anyone
tried the flash updating?
I think I'll wait for OS 2.0. Nothing important is fixed compared to OS 1.11.
You can back-up all factory settings to disk. You can also download then from
Yamaha's website, should you loose them.

I've tried the upgrade to 1.12 and yesterday the upgrade to 1.13. Both upgrades went flawless, no problems at all. So the flash upgrade procedure seems to be a stable thing...
