Ziggy,

How are things in Malta? Nice sounds. Especially like the vocal stuff. Thanks for sharing.

Scott

PS: Would love to hear some music created by you on your GEM Genesys.

I can't speak for Lionstracs but I don't think that Eric would be happy to take credit for being the "TOP sound engineer" at either Gem or Ketron since he has worked with the chief sound designers in both companies.

This may seem like a small point but it gives the impression that one person is largely responsible for the sounds of two different brands. This is how rumors get started.

You better tell Enrico to put a 'Bass' category on the Mediastation and also a 'Pad' category. Two very important Sound Banks IMO. Without Bass and Pad voices the Lionstracs is not complete IMO. Pads should be separate from Synth Voices IMO. Having a 'Choir/Scat Voice' category would be nice too. Another thing; I'm not sure this has been discused yet or maybe because I just didn't notice it: How much Polyphony does the Mediastation have again??? If it's anything less than 256 note Polyphony people will balk at paying $8,000 [5.100 GBP] {14,700 AUS}[16,000 German Marks] (18,000 Dutch Gilders) [8,150 Euro] (12,600 Canadian dollars) [60,600 Danish Krone] {48,500 Finnish Markka} [53,500 Francs] and (15,793,393 Italian Lira) for your Keyboard. Make it worth the price domenik.

Best regards,
Mike

Hi Mike
I will infor Enrico about this sound too. About specification... again: Mediastation have BASE installed 2 DSP SAM9708, 128 Voice each, mean BASE 256 Voice.
Then you can insert more 2 wavetable, mean more 256 Voice: Hardware Voice 256.
Then add the 180 Voice of Linuxsampler and about 120 Voice for the Softsynth. (with AMD Athlon 2Ghz CPU, we made the Opteron 64bit too)
About the price: Mediastation X-76 normal version 256 Voice harware cost Euro 5000 + your country TAX.

regards
domenik
