Somebody mentioned here that you can use Creative Nomad Jukebox 3, or IReviera to do live recording, how's the result in term of volume, can you adjust the recording volume. By the way, could'nt seem to find Jukebox3 at any store....thanks for the info.

Yes, you can adjust the input volume. You have your choice of various wav and mp3 formats.
I think they may have discontinued JB3, but you can still buy them from Creative Labs, or reconditioned ones from Creative Labs via ebay.

Most of the newer mp3 players can also record. There is an accessory that can be added to the ipod which allows it to also record.
