I have few questions about S-900,please clarify.

1.How is the Strings section when compared to Tyros2? Is there any improvement in strings voices?
2.What improvement in S-900 regarding vocal harmony feature overpsr-3000 and how the microphone sounds in s-900?
3.How the Aux output sound with connected amplispeaker system? Is it sounds better than psr-3000 Aux output?
4.Is the styles sound same as Tyros2?
5.What is the difference between PA-300 and PA-300B power adaptors?
6.Your S-900 keyboard manufacturing country.

SUNNY.

Hiya,
If no one else replys, I'll try to tomorrow.
Gonna hit the hay even though I have my new s900 sitting in the living room. I'm a happy but tired camper.
Now if I was able to use more than just my left hand I'd be accomplishing a lot more for sure.

No improvement over PSR3000.
2.What improvement in S-900 regarding vocal harmony feature overpsr-3000 and how the microphone sounds in s-900?
Mic gain is little better. Harmonizer seems the same.
3.How the Aux output sound with connected amplispeaker system? Is it sounds better than psr-3000 Aux output?
I don't know.
4.Is the styles sound same as Tyros2?
They sound significantly improved over the PSR3000. I had never heard the Tyros 2.
5.What is the difference between PA-300 and PA-300B power adaptors?
Nothing.
6.Your S-900 keyboard manufacturing country.
I'll check later.

the PSRS900 is made in Indonesia. This is actually a good thing. Yamaha owns their own facility in Indonesia. If they were made in China, it would be in a factory making these for Yamaha.
When you say there is no difference in the strings, I think the "live Allegro Strings" is not called a "live" sound in the PSR3000, but I'm not sure because I don't have any 3000's left in my store. On the PSRS700, which I believe has the same sounds as the 3000, it does not have the "live" word printed next to the Allegro string name.

I just found out that the "live Allegro" strings is on the 3000. The "live" sounds feature stereo sampling and because of limited polyphony on some of the other models, they use more of these "live" sounds on the 128 note polyphony models.

I don't have the keyboard with me or the data list, but there is one new Live! string voice on the PSR-S900, I think it's called Symphonic, but to tell the truth, it sounds the same as the other Live! strings. It might have a slightly slower attack.

You will not notice any improvement in string sounds over the PSR3000.

The differences I hear in sounds in the styles are with the Megavoice guitars - especially the nylon string guitar, and also just better mixing.

You will enjoy having a wide variety of quality trumpet, sax, and guitar voices to play with. Sometimers, I think I'm hitting the polyphany limit with some of these S.A. voices however. Sometimes when I choose a certain trumpet or sax combination, I get muted sounds like there is no more polyphany.

The OTSs are given more thought. They are mixed really well.

I don't think the keyboard is going to sound exactly like the Tyros 2 throughout all of the styles, because there are some Tyros 2 styles that when they are loaded into the PSR S900, the voices are missing or changed. The PSR S900 has less than half of the Megavoices and S.A. voices that the Tyros has.

BTW, the Music Finder is still pretty much the same in that you can't call up styles on the USB - just Preset and User styles.

I think the repertoire button has been mentioned. When you are in style display, for any preset or user style selected, you can press repertoire, and the Music Finder database will come up with whatever songs are suitable for that style. Good idea!f
