The figure of 300MB was also quoted by the reviewer in Keboard Player Magazine. The magazine can be downloaded for £3.20 from:
http://www.keyboardplayer.com/issuecontents.php?issue=0294

It has a 6 page glowing review

Best Regards
Paul.

Thanks for the detailed reply. The only corrections is that the sweet live and cool sounds are already part of the 504 panel voices so its not 666. And the width is 450mm. I dont even own one yet but ive tried to learn as much as i can about the specs and the best news is knowing its now also the king of wav rom at 300 mb

Tyros 1 had a total of 27 sweet live cool sounds. Tyros 2 has 120. Yamaha certainly went all out in this area of tyros 2

Well Craig, I believe the path to quality sounds start with large ram..If it's true ...Kudos to Yamaha...the others are not far behind.

All anyone has to do is listen to high quality samples, and you will see where the large memory comes into play..

I think just about any of the flagship models in the last 10 years would have been "Super" if they were equipped with the ram of the G70 and Tyros2...and if it was acessible as a flash ram....more of us would have kept the "old relics"..[forgot, I did keep mine, and so did you]..

Way to go Fran, there's no way us G1000 owners would part with such a good instrument. It may be old now, but for live and ease of use it's still up there with the best.
Think my next purchase will have to be a bigger house now I've got 3 keyboards.
