I need a simple keyboard bench that's padded and adjustable. I saw one at Mars Music for $24.00, but I'd rather buy from you guys.. You can email me direct if you like at

Squeak,
I sell 6 different adjustable benches. However, the one that I sell for about $25.00 is not good for anyone over the height of a child. The problem is that these are all X type seats and if you adjust the least expensive one up to where most adults need to sit, the width of the legs on the floor gets very narrow and it can tip over quite easily. The next price range up, about $40.00 is better for adults but is not very padded. The $50.00 seat has thick padding and is strong and the $65.00 model has the same padding but has a quicker way of adjusting the height not having to use a large hand screw in the middle of the X stand but rather uses 4 spring loaded mechanisims on the bottom of the seat.
What kind of seat did you see at Mars for such a low price?

There's no real name or model number to it. It just says that it's a Mars Exclusive.. http://www.marsmusic.com/store/product_template.jhtml?catid=509&prodid=14909&primarySkuId=13594

Ok,
I just looked at the link you provided. This is the same inexpensive bench I sell. It is not well padded, in fact it is very hard and if you notice, there are only three holes to adjust the height in the middle of the X and if you go to the highest, the width of the legs gets too narrow and tippy. I would not recommend this to a musician who needs to use this all the time. Again, it is well suited for a child say under 5ft tall.
Regards,

George,
Do you think it will work well for short periods of play? I no longer gig, and my time is extremely limited on my keyboard lately. The lack of thick padding isn't really an issue for me. I just need something simple that will be used for casual play in my home...

Squeak,
How tall are you? that will really be what determines if you can use this seat.

Squeak,
I'll feel better if you go one notch better on the seat you wish to sit on! I'd be afraid that if you had a drink or two you might end up on the floor! Just kidding!!!
