Hello,
I'm composing music with sequencing software,
and I'm trying to figure out how to use
more than one patch at a time on my OB6 with
mono mode. Does anyone know how to assign
the patches to the six channels used in mono
mode?(6 starting from the base midi channel)
According to some documentation I've read,
one should be able to use the OB6 as
essentially 6 monophonic voices when in mono
mode (Master Edit Parameter 18).
Any help/advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Geoffrey

Sorry but the MIDI mono mode doesn't make the obie multitimbral, beyond the two patches available in a split. Unfortunately it also disables spillover, so you can't send notes on to other synths either. What is d o e s do is allow you to send various controller messages on one or more channels and not the others, which is useful in mimicing the playing texture of a guitar, for instance. Each channel would represent one string. Hope this helps.mn
