Nope. It can read both of them fine. It reads midi files of all types. The only thing you have to be certain of is that no track uses the same channel as another. Even drums. It seems to be unique in that way for some reason.

Also if the program change does not say drums it will not automatically change. Doesn't matter if it's on channel 10.
