What Moog synthesizer is the best deal in terms of features and money?

It depends - are you looking for Vintage MOOG - and if so, could you narrow down your suggestions?

Would you consider a MiniMoog or a MicrMoog?

I was looking for an analog Moog, possibly a vintage for an affordable price, considering the fact that synths can be a tad pricey.

You might be interested in a Moog Prodigy
Ive seen one on sale in a music store in
New Orleans(unfortunately i cant remember
the name of the store) for around $900.00
It all depends on your budget. With the analog craze going on right now, these
synths can run you a pretty penny. You might be better off with a kurzweil. It comes
with factory preset Moog sounds as well as tons of other features. Its not the true analog sound you get from the real thing
but I think it comes in as a definite second.
There are also plenty of Moog and other
programs for kurzweil that sound almost
if not just as good as these vintage synths.

Yeah, $900 is way over my budget. I was thinking at about $450 at the very most.

You might be able to pick up a used
one at some stores such as Dan Marino
guitars or Frank and Camilles. The trouble
is that the dealers themselves dont always
know if there are problems with these synths (especially if they were to sell you
one at $450.00) since they are not in circulation and have no warranty.
