And a question... How do I set the split point away from that damned "C". I'm sure there must be a way of doing it without having to set it everytime I switch on and choose a new style etc ? or having to 'save' it with every new save.

I think you didn't try the MakeUp function enough, since with this function is possible to change a lot of things in styles and songs, not only Drum and Bass.
I'm wondering that you didn't discover it.

The Cover function can be seen as a preset MakeUp for people that don't want to spend time in tweaking and customizing.

I think you know that you can save your favourite split point position in each user program; if you want to save a setting that has to be recalled each time you switch on the instrument, go into Menu->Utility->Startup, select the favourite User Program and activate the 'Recall' button.
I hope this satisfies your needings.

In the User Program window (press List) on the upper left corner there is a 'Hold Settings' button; pressing it you will access a window where you can select what to freeze at User Program change.

The G 70 that is.

I guess it's sorta like a spouse. You learn to love it and focus on the good

Thank you o3BOR for your advice. I'll have a go and do what you say. I must add that my previous KB was the Yamaha PSR9000PRO and the 'engines' appear to be completely different But, I'm gradually getting into the finer points of the G70.
