I play on and off at a private dinner club with a baby grand piano. They have a rotating list of players they call on, but I'm the only one who uses a laptop for MIDI file playback with a pair of JBL EON 10's. While I don't use the accompaniment on every song, I use it pretty often and I'm often told that it makes for a nice change of pace over the regular pianists. Some of my midi files have no drums, just nylon guitar, bass and strings.

Just something to keep in mind.

I've done that in the past, but this was only two nights, and who knows when I'll do it again, so I went the "all natural" route. It's nice using the laptop and a good instrument, isn't it!
I keep Jammer Live in mine so I have a drum pattern handy if I need it too.
