Greetings!

I am curious about something...has anybody here tried to use the SCSI option on their TRITON? If so, what type of device do you use, a removable disk drive, a hard drive, or "other?"

Can you hook up to a computer and transfer data that way, or does the SCSI only work with a directly-connected disk device?

What kind of success (or failure) have you experienced? Any suggestions for those contemplating a journey into this unknown territory?

Thanks in advance!

Hello Brian,

I have the SCSI expansion board since the first day and cannot live without it!

I used first a old SCSI hard disk (extracted form a defective PC), then a Zip. Works fine !

I've also heard that Orb drives are Ok with the Triton.

Regarding PC to Triton connection, I suggest you look at the excellent Knut Inge's site (Triton Hardware Corner) at http://www.pvv.ntnu.no/~knutinh/tritonhardware/index.htm

It will tell in details how it works (and other technical stuff)

Regards,
Xavier

Hi Brian, are you still checking this site out? I am frustrated as hell with some of my Triton's functions and programs. I would love to compare notes. Thanks! Dana

Thanks for your reply, Xavier. I saw the "hard drive for Triton" on that website! Cool, if it works!

I will review that website later this evening when I have more time.

I'll post more to this thread later.

Dana - I wish I had more time to learn more about my Triton! The manuals are not all that great. Maybe there'll be a "for Dummies" book on it soon! Just kidding. Yes, I'd love to learn more. I just haven't had the time to get "good" with it.
