I upgraded 2 days ago from the PSR740 to the PSR2000. I had been using the PSR740 in a two man band situation for the last
year and half. I spent about 4 hours with it so far. My two cents.

Had to have.
1. Can sustain just the right half of the keyboard.... This alone was worth the price.
2. 8 Register recall buttons. Nice.
3. Load time for midi files(Goodbye to the people on the dance floor staring at me between songs).
Can also play one and load one at the same time.
4. Easier access to voices.
5. Can select a different registration while the keyboard is transposed.
6. Transposition button and octave button.
7. Tap tempo click gone. (What engineer came up with this on the 740?)
8. Volume control. Controls output jack.

Would have liked to see...
1. 3 Foot controller inputs. I would have used them in the following manner.
1. Right hand sustain. 2. Right hand volume control. 3. Drum fill.
2. Style numbers are gone. For each song I had an assigned style number that I would call up.
I think I going to miss the number keypad. I'll use the user styles instead.

Still need more time with....
1. I can't get the vocal harmonizer styles to work. The only one I hear is "Lisa and Tina"?. I never used the harmonizer on the
PSR740. I may need some help on this.
2. File save, cut , copy seems a little confusing. I was able to save my registration bank. I need more time on the file system.
3. My wife. She doesn't understand why I need to spend so much time in the cellar just because I bought a new keyboard.
She said "Isn't the new keyboard suppose to save you time"?

Congratulations on the new keyboard. I really enjoyed your last comment under "Still need more time with....My wife. She doesn't understand why I need to spend so much time in the cellar just because I bought a new keyboard.
She said "Isn't the new keyboard suppose to save you time"?

I can so relate to that one.

Place your keyboard in the kitchen.
Play it while she wash the dishes and so on!

Krix, married but no keyboard
