The Z1 is a synthetizer that is not based on samples but on "physical modelling", and the acoustic piano is not in the scope of the Z1. As you said, you had to read the specifications and try it before to buy...

BTW I love that MOSS synthesis and I use it a lot, combinated with PCM synthesis on my Trinity and Triton

Korg has always had some of the best electric pianos, but I really don't think they give enough attention to the acoustics. I'm glad you like the Trinity, but it just doesn't cut it for me. There are so many other options that have had great pianos for YEARS, there is no excuse for Korg to be behind in this area.
