All the Roland keyboards were placed on these new stands. The Retail Price is $239.00 and the MAP is $199.00.
The look is clean and I felt that the stability is very good. Roland claims it will support synths up to 88 keys and 125 lbs. The stand sets up and tears down in just 5 seconds and can acccomodate standing and sitting positions. The open floor-space design allows ideal placement of floor pedals. The stand weighs 19.75 lbs.

George, did they show any accessories, such as mic boom holder or extra shelf?
Thanks,
Don

Roland's NAMM website is reporting that the V-Stand will have "multiple second tier options".

George,

Viewing the picture at the top of this thread, I'm not clear how this stand collapses. Are the two white tubes a retractable extension type with click-able lock points for different keyboard heights? How many fixed/variable heights can you set the keyboard to? Just how is this stand broken down for storage & transport? Do the upper tubes both retract or fold down to lie flat again the black V-Leg floor piece?

How would you compare the Roland V-Stand's stability (especially against bounce & wobble) with the:

Ultimate Support Apex Stand:

Quicklok QLX-21 (double braced) X Stand:

Quicklok M91 Monolith:

Thanks - Scott

I didn't spend enough time with the stand to see it fold up. I took the text right from Roland's dealer new product book. I did however feel that the stand seemed as stable as the Apex Ultimate Support product.
I also asked about a second tier and I was told it would come out in the future.

It appears that Ultimate Stands is making the V-Stand also, and in black! Reportedly it'll be available in March and will list for $299. Here's a shot of the stand folded up:
