I'm looking for a small mixer and don't know much about them. I know a number of you use the Alesis MultiMix 6FX 6-Channel Mixer with Effects and have had good luck with it.

Behringer has what looks to be a very similar unit Mixer

The Behringer is selling for what the web site says "Chump Change" $39.99 vs. $99.00 for the Alesis I'm looking for quality rather than price, any recommendations?

Have a look at Mackie DFX-6
XLR Out, Stereo, you can send effects to Aux 1` for your monitor. Also Effects you select stay 'selected' when power is turned off/on

Stephan.I owm both the Alesis and the behringer.Both are good for the money.If you want one with effects I recommend the Alesis multi fx 6.

I use the UB802 by Behringer. It works fine. Couldn't be happier. If it has all the gizmos you want on it, you can't go wrong.

The new Behringer 1002FX with 24 bit effects, Xenyx mic preamps and British EQ has just started shipping. The old 1002FX didn't have the new, higher quality mic pre's or the British sounding EQ. For those not familiar with British EQ, it is the standard all mixers use for high quallity EQ. The price for this mixer is around $80 - $90. The 802 you linked from Guitar Center has no effects and only has EQ on the two mic channels and not on the line input channels. I've been using the Alesis 6FX for a couple years on occasions when I need a mixer, and it does an excellent job.

The UB802 does have EQ on both the stereo lines. At least it did on the one I owned, and also shows it on the Behringer site. You may have mixed iu with the baby UB502, which does not have the EQ.

Thanks everyone for your input. I'm sure I can't go wrong with any of the suggestions, but so far the new Behringer 1002FX looks like it could be the choice. George do you have those in stock?
