I have created an online calendar, with a link on my website. It seems to work fine for me, but I've had a couple of people tell me it didn't. Maybe a few could check it out for me.
The link is on the main page. www.donmasonmusic.com
Thanks,
DonM

Don,

It looks great to me. I'm using IE 6.1.

I did notice this little blurb about calendar issues on the Calendar.net website:

Note for Opera and Mac

If you cannot access a calendar at the usual URL (my.calendars.net/nameofcalender), try adding "www" to the beginning of the address, so that it reads:
http://www.my.calendars.net/nameofcalendar

Looks great Don. I might want to try one of those. I've been posting my dates on my website by hand. This looks a lot better.

Don:

The calendar works fine. How did you obtain a picture of me to post on April Fool's Day?

I assume that you left off the Semi-jam since it is (ostensibly) not work related???

The countdown begins! Sure hope we have a good turnout. You mentioned a Map earlier. That will be helpful to many of us.

BTW, I just released my first Country album to CD Baby for digital distribution only. It finally appeared on-line yesterday. Maybe I'll get rich? (Not!) Come on I-Podders!

All my best,

Dave Rice

Thanks guys,
I'm going to Oklahoma to see my grandson again. Be back Monday night. (If you saw the calendar, you'll notice this weekend was open!)
Rice,
I will put the jam on the calendar asap.
Next week I'll post the map.
Fran, you and Semilive seem to be the only ones having a problem. I'll check more when I get back.

Works fine on this end and I'm using Mozilla Firefox 5.0. I mention this because some sites don't always display the way they should with Firefox.

The Calendar started to scroll on the screen and then a page just pop up that said this was not accessible. I clicked the back button and the calendar came back up perfect. I assume you’re going to put “The Great North Louisiana Crayfish Festival and Jam Session” featuring Tom Cavanaugh, Ricearoni, Hank, Dale, Don, and Boo Hoo on there, right?

Everything on the site comes up for me except the calander.
I am using IE 6.0 sp2 on this desktop with DSL from Earthlink.
Bebop
PS: I found the problem was my new updated PC-Cillin Virus blocker had to have an exception made for the Media Player that plays all this stuff. Now I can see the calander fine.

Hey Don

I can't get it. I have DSL. I can't imagine what DSL would have to do with it. If it was 56K I could see that, but, DSL is so much quicker.

Looks good thru my employers' connection.

Scott L:
My home computer sometimes has problems accessing other SynthZoner's sites.
I had purchased/installed software on my PC called Popup Stopper. I figured out that when I temorarily deactivate that software, I then could successfully access everything.

When I get home, I will try Don's calendar and see how it works. People that could not get in, may have similar products that get touchy like my home blocker.

Hey MrEd

I thought about the popup blocker, so I tried holding down the Ctrl key which is supposed to allow them in and it didn't make any dif.

I'll be interested to find out the answer to this one. This may be what is preventing me from getting on other sites.

Scott,
I just got home, tried the link from this home PC, and it was OK from here also. My blocker did not act up.

A while back, I had another sporatic problem similar to this issue.
I would click on a link and nothing would happen. Somebody advised me to right-click on the link, take/cut the link out of the 'properties' and paste it into the browser's window, and press GO/ENTER. That solved the problem.
I never found out what was causing that situation, but it eventually, went away on its own. Maybe a combination of things I did such as OS system updates and AOL version update took care of that. ANYWAY ...

For kicks, if you want to try the cut/paste to your browser and see if that direct approach changes anything, here's the link.
Type in the WWW. and plop this next to that

Hello Don
Works fine in IE 7, (Beta 2) and also no problems with Mozilla Firefox 1.5, (Firefox is normally Crap at getting things right, with more security holes then a colander)
Nice site as well.

I just tried it with IE, and it worked fine.
Bill may be right, it could be a Firefox issue.

You did have to bring up the IRS. I'm going to the tax man today to see the final damages for last year. Maybe I'll have to rethink that calender.

glad that worked but still, you should not have to go to that trouble. And 'why' is the stumper. Starting with WWW (not http) seems to be OK. Some PC wiz somewhere knows
