I'm moving up to the PSR 2000, but I need some of my favorite PSR 740 styles like a security blanket. I have lots of songs associated with them.

If anyone can email me these styles or show me where they can be located, wow, I would appreciate it.

I saw your post at the PSR styles group. The 740 styles are there, but are numbered rather than named. I simply made a copy of the 740's style list and then matched the corresponding style's name to its' number from the zip file. They go in sequential order just as they are on the keyboard... All you have to do is rename them on your computer using the list ( S__00101 = style #1 8beat 1, S__00102 = style #2 *beat2, etc.

If I had done them all, I'd gladly have sent you mine, but I only used and renamed about 10 of the 740 styles that I had liked. For the most part the 2000 styles sound better to me.

Larry,
I just happened to check and I noticed that there is now a file called "740 named " zip at the spectromagic psr style vault archive. In case you don't have it the url is http://www.spectromagic.com/PSR-Styles-Vault-Archive/

Just Curious. I have several floppies, each with 128 registrations for songs, including styles, tempo's, voices, key changes and DSP settings..all of which were created on the 740. When I get a PSR 2000, can I load a whole disc worth of PSR 740 registrations into the PSR 2000?.... or will I have to download each style I want from the 740 individually? I am guessing the latter.

Bsharp,
I did the same with my 740, so now I use it to display all these changes and manually put them into the 2000. I don't see a way for the 2000 to recognize the 740 registrations. I have also noticed that the guitar and pad sounds from the 740 styles need to have the volume increased. Additionally, the 2000's styles played in the 740 need the guitar and pad volumes decreased to sound like the original.

Many thanks Steve...and EEEK.
After six months of setting up and tweaking registrations in the 740 to the point that I am mostly satisfied, the thought of going through it again on the 2000 is exhausting.
But...you know I will.
