Has anyone tried his registrations on the PSR3000? He doesn't mention on his site whether or not they work on the 3000. Just wanted to verify before I purchase.

Tim,
I believe registrations are not compatible between each Yamaha arranger keyboards. However Michael Bedesem has provided a free program that will do conversions for some of the keyboards, including the PSR3000.
You can load Regfix from http://www.svpworld.com/beta/

The PSR2100, and above use a newer registration format, so the 3000 registrations do not work on the 2000 and below, and cannot be converted with Mike's program

His program makes the 2100, 3000 and Tyros registrations interchangable.

Tim,
If the registrations were made for the 3000, then I would think they would work for the 3000. By the way, when did you get the 3000? If I remember, the last time I talked to you, you had a KN7000.
Did you "Do Dorney" this year?

Ooops,
I Forgot Pipeliners registrations are for the Tyros .

Then you will probably need Michael Bedesem program which should tweak them for your 3000.

(Never understood why Yamaha changed the registration format starting with the 2100)

Thanks guys for the info. LARRY, I sold the KN7000 to UD almost 2 yrs ago. (Of course, he didn't keep it very long.) I bought the 3000 last summer but will probably trade it in for a T2 next year when I have enough saved up...and yes I did Dorney in May during the height of my allergy season...big mistake - sneezing my fool head off while standing in line to ride the coasters! Hydra was OK - too short. Steel Force and Talon are still the best. Still have your 7000?

Oh yea, I forgot about the "Turnpike transaction"

I still have the KN7000. a KN3000, and a PSR2000.
I'll have to 'move' them, if I decide on the T2

For those that do not know, Dorney is an amusement park, and Tim is a Roller Coaster buff, thus his UserName.

If you decide on PIPELINERS Registrations, let us know how you made out, and your thoughts.

Good to hear from you neighbor
