then it's obsolete to send you the german flyer you asked me by email. Please can you tell us the price you have paid (round about is enough), so I have some good arguments for my local music dealer. I know that in German the distributor will have the PSR2000 next week and then one or two week later it will arrive in the local music stores. My dealer told me last friday that he has already a lot of preoderings.

By the way a very important question...
I played the PSR740 for nearly two years in serveral bands and I used it only for sound generation and not for automatic ACMP. Therefore I made a lot of sounds (better said sound configurations) and store them in the registration memory. Is there a way to load the registration memory information into a PSR2000/PSR9000 (same OS?) or do I have to transfer it handish parameter by parameter.

Memory is 580 kB (PSR2000) and 260kB (PSR1000).

The keyboard is great :=)

Is that memory dedicated to user styles? How many places are there for user styles? Is it possible to play a style directly from the floppy without loading?

Do you have any idea, how can I get it, I'm in Dallas, Tx., USA, my price with shipping from Synthplanet is $1052.00 USA, I think there's a tariff/customs charge or whatever they call it, but nobody can give me eny specifics no even UPS on how much it is or how to do this once it arrives,

usa customs charge is around 6/100 of original price.It means you have to pay $60 for $1000.

I am still waiting to find out if there is flash ram available for custom styles and if it is possible to play a style directly from the floppy drive without loading it.

You'll have to pay the customs charge plus purchase a new power supply for US voltage. In addition, if your keyboard arrives defective, you will probably not want to ship it back to Europe. You will have to get Yamaha authorized repair which around here takes about 3 weeks.

I am considering the advantages and disadvantages of overseas purchasing. Just wanted to make people aware of the disadvantages.

I know, I'm thinking about it too maybe I'll wait and see what the price is going to be in the USA.

About the power supply, SynthPlanet is told me via e-mail that it'll come with 110 power supply.

Yamaha says M.A.P, the lowest price that the keyboard should be sold for in the U.S. is $1199. At this price the dealer makes very marginal profit, and it may well not include accessories. I still believe we should buy first locally, if we have a decent dealer, and then within our own country. Even more so now than September 10. Our economy and our U.S. dealers need us. What's an extra hundred or so to receive good service?
If you're living in the U.S., please don't order it from another country and then ask U.S. dealers like George and Dan for help. (or me either). I'm getting patriotic in my old age.
