OK, this is not an arranger but it would go really well with an arranger. Anyone using it?

I played it yesterday at GC and I was really impressed with the sounds this thing can make, and at less than $700, this seems like a steal! Just curious if anyone is using it with their arrangers.

I also checked out the Motif ES, I kind of miss my Motif Drums and Arps .... but I am sure Yamaha will come out with a new workstation after Roland comes out with that big color screen on the Fantom X. I guess I'll wait and see what Fantom X has to offer.

harosha,
Some very cool analog synth sounds on that board and the price is right. Here's a link to some mp demos from it: http://alesis.com/products/Ion/Demos/

Thanks Terry, those demos are really good. I am tempted to buy one but, I think Fantom X also has real time filters and such, plus those pads will be great for live use. I will wait to check it out before buying anything.

harosha,
Unless the Fantom X is a real dog, it's probably going to be my next workstation. Having had the S I liked it alot except for the polyphony, which they've fixed with the X.

If anybody lives in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area, Craig Anderton will be having a demostration[clinic] of the ION.
