How do you get 154 lb mackie subwoofer into your trunk?
Fork lift? Pop a few steroids before the gig? what if the gig involves some stairs?

I would use two of them..then you can carry one in each hand...this will help keep your balance...

great suggestion, Fran! but you don't need to buy 2..
just wait for the next generation arranger keyboards..if the
present trend continues, they will be heavy enough to
carry in the other hand to balance.

seriously, can anyone suggest a really simple (unlike
Logitech's 5 speakers) system that's easy to carry and
set up and really light? preferably stereo? I'm still using a 20-yr old GK amp with twin-6's on small gigs--it's small, 22lbs,
built like a tank, powerful, many-featured, sounds great.

Gk makes great stuff I'd stick with it MO if it sounds good.

The JBL Eon 10 G2's are 23 pounds each.

thanks, Scott, that's interesting.

Only the Eon 12 and 15 were displayed in my area stores 6 yrs ago, so my step-up from the GK is one heavier EON 12 bungeed on a small roll-cart w/a mini Behringer mixer and a little old Yamaha reverb unit cabled to it,(I call it R2D2) nothingto do but plug in but heavy to lift into van.

My step-up on that is 2 Squier 12's w/a dual Phonic head. (most think that's light but too bulky and heavy for me)

All of them sound pretty decent but I'd like to go stereo, and from pretty decent to great, without going more complicated or heavier. I'm just not sold on the new Bose system, regardless of the raves, and I don't see that as such a simple setup/carry/breakdown. I only work solo/duo.

think there are some other choices for me or LOL--
do I already have too much?
