YAMAHA STOP MANUFACTURE OF ORGANS
A Large UK Yamaha dealer has stated that Yamaha have ceased production of all Yamaha Organs. Sales of Organs world wide is now very poor. They are to concentrate manufacture of Clavinova CLP & CVP and keyboards.

I would say that mostly churches would be interested in the Electronic organs that Yamaha make. They are nice but:

1) very expensive

2) very bulky

I do not know of any church here in the UK that uses Domestic Organs. There a few excellent classical organ manufactures which do church installation. Churches here usually restore the existing organ if at all possible.

There has been a good following of Electronic Organs for many years. I had a Yamaha HS6 myself. As previously stated they are now a dying breed, the younger people are into keyboards.

Hammond have produced an excellent 2 manual keyboard XE2 and appear to be making good sales, You can buy a Hammond XE1 and add a second manual at any time. There is a possible demand for a double manual keyboard.....Both Roland & Yamaha where asking customers about the possibility at the Keyboard Festival earlier this year. Just think about a 2 manual board with a 2 or 3 splits on each manual.

Yeah, two manuals sounds cool but what would that look like with at least 76keys each ?

76 Keys on a 2 manual board is not necessary. 2 X 61 keys notes is ideal. Although Roland Atelier Organs have 61 Upper and 76 Lower which is a good idea for an organ, but back to keyboards, I have tried the weight of the 2 manual Hammond XE2 keyboard and its not too heavy, remember its just the weight of an extra set of 61 keys,
