Hi
I have an old Roland E-36, and I am going to change it for a new Roland (EXR-5).
But I like some styles from my old E-36 which I can't download from the kb, because E-36 hasn't disquete driver.

So, a friend of mine give me a lot of Roland styles from E series (E-86) where there are much of E-36 styles. But not all of them: It lacks the eight last styles of E-36: numbers 81-88.

These are a special "styles serie" which is named "EASY EIGHT" in the kb. They are simple styles, perhaps from a Roland kb older than my E-36. These 8 styles are named:
swing2,8beat3,16beat3,disco3,waltz4,2beat,latinbeat and slrock2.

IMPORTANT: These eight styles were also in the Roland E-30; and they were also available as a music style card (TN-SC1-10). I don't know if they are also in some of more moderns Roland kbs, or in some zip drive (G-1000, VA-7...)

I would like to know if any of synthzone members have these eight styles, and may to send me. My thanks will be great.

That EZ-8 was introduced in the days of the E20....and was the basis for most of what I play live. Every time I buy a new kb (quite frequently, some say :eek I HAVE to set up and EZ8 bank.... for those bread & Butter styles that cover SO many tunes.

I'm sure the new Roland has something similar already programmed. Maybe you just need to "thin out" some arrangements and re save as your EX8 set?

Good luck!

Iremember those "Easy 8" styles, always liked them They were on my E30, then I purchased them on a card for the E70. I haven't seen them since then though. I missed them.

They weren't on the E86, E500 E600 or VA7. They weren't on the disks available for purchase as far as I know.

Exactly, Marilyn.

I always liked these "Easy 8" styles too, they were on my old E36 and E30, and in a card (TN-SC1-10), and now I sorry not to have them.

As you say, we haven't seen them since then though (on other Roland kbs nor on a disk for purchase).

It seems we missed them, because E-30 and E-36 haven't disquette driver, and TN-SC1-card is for kbs with no disquette driver. So, we can't download and save them in a disquete.

But perhaps there is any way for to have them today. And perhaps someone have them...
