I know this is off topic, but I figure it will get the most exposure here...
I rec'd an e-mail at home supposedly from PayPal, stating the following:

From: "PayPal" Save Address Reminder

To: tony_lydia@worldnet.att.net
Cc: v.poponin@worldnet.att.net
Subject: This email confirms that you paid MICROBAZAR (sales@microbazaar.com) $175.85 USD using PayPal
Date: Fri, 9 Sep 2005 17:10:35 +0000 [View Source]

Tony...Thanks for the heads up...there are a hell of a lot of scammers out there now with the problems in the Golf Coast..watched
on CNN today where the FBI is now monetoring
all of the e-net charities for fraud .....

I get one of these every couple of months.

Whenever you get one of these you should send a copy of it to spoof@paypal.com. They will resond within a few hours to verify that it's false and then they'll go after the spammer.

Yes just forward it to spoof@paypal.com and they will investigate the fraudulent website in the link that has been made to look like paypal.
