Luis,
no arranger is perfect; the only way to attain perfection is to buy more than one, because each one has pros and cons.

(That's why I have an SD1, a VA7 and am planning to buy a 9000 pro...)

(Okay, better get going now...)

48 megs of sound ROM. The spec is the same for the SD1, 9000Pro and the VA76.

The Ketron's do not have the same multi pad functions as do the Yamaha's....you can add the hard drive to the Yammy, but can't add the multipads to the Ketron.

6 gig hard drive out of the box .

The hard drive is used very effectively for storing styles , sounds , midi sequences and wav files .
YOu can edit sounds , volumne levels, effects , transposition and panning
right on the hard drive while the sequence plays back .

48 meg's dedicated to the sound ROM .

Vocal kit .

Ability to layer 4 sounds together and split the keyboard 4 times .

Aftertouch + portamento easily accessable .

No OS for SD1 will be released that will incorporates DRUM REMIX feature and newer styles .

These are just some of the reason's I have always liked Ketron products .

I am an Authorized Korg , Roland , Ketron , Technics dealer in USA !

Sorry, but you really wrote that "no" OS for SD1 will be released with drum remix and more styles or would your write that a "new" os will be released?...
I'm really curious...

By the way, can you please tell me anything about the "fell" of the keys on each keyboard? What's the keyboard that fells more closely to piano?... I've a VA-3 and I really hate the poor feel of the keys but I also have a roland XV88, with piano action, and it's really the best for me...

Anyone can help?...

Luis
The VA76 has light key action.
The 9000 PRO is synth weighted, which is
lighter then piano weighted but heavier than
the regular weighted organ type keys.
As for the SD1 I can't say I have never had
a chance to try one out.

The Sd1 does not feel like the XV88 . Neither does the VA76 or 9000pro .

A NEW OS will be introduced in the near future for the SD1 .

I have an MP3 available to give you an idea about what DRUM REMIX is all about .

Please email oneils44@comcast.net if you wish to here the examples .

Yes, I know neither of these keyboard feel like the XV88, but whats the differences between the 3 keyboards?... Could you please give me a opinion if possible?

I've heard about the drum remix... will it really be implemented on the SD1?? You said new styles will be also aded to the SD1 by the new OS?? or will the new keyboards come up with more styles on rom?...

Concluding... can I buy a SD1 and then have all those features just installing the new OS or should I wait for the new SD1 with more styles and more features?...

Maybe I'd get the SD1 this weekend... so some feedback will really be helpfull to the purchase!...or not...

Thanks for the help.
