What keyboard should I choose?... I'm still looking for the "perfect" keyboard, but knowing there is no such thing.
What keyboard has the "best" styles, the "best" sounds?...

I was considering the SD1 but I'm now a little scared about what I've read about the SD1 problems like the sampler...
The 9000PRO has less bugs then the SD1?...

What about the "fell" of the keys on these 3 keyboards? Can anyone please tell me the real differences?...

I really need some help please...

Thanks.

There has been much said about these boards. Look back through some of the posts or do a search here.

The 2 things you are asking about.."feel" and "styles" are going to be a matter of opinion by each person who answers. So the best solution I think is listen to all the demos on line you can to get a feel for what each board sounds like, then go play them for the feel.

If you sing while you play, you should know that the 9000Pro and SD1 have vocal harmonizers, while the VA76 does not. The VA76 has "variphrase" which allows you to play vocal lines on the keyboard--but this is no substitute for real-time vocal harmony.

Well, as long as we're posting opinions....I waited a year to play a VA 76 and did not like it at all.

Terry I played a new VA76 a couple of weeks
ago & I did not like it either, didn't like
the touch screen, key feel, or a lot of
voices.
Just my 2 cents

Rolanfan,
Can you compare the VA76 or VA7 to the EM55 which you just tried?

The sampler does allow you to .wav sync . This is something that the VA76 or 9000pro can not do . This is improtant . I have sang harmonized voice samples and looped them with a style .

What about the "fell" of the keys on these 3 keyboards? Can anyone please tell me the real differences?...

The SD1 has just as good if not better key feel .

I really need some help please...

Thanks.

Here are a few things about the SD1 that set it apart from the Roland + Yamaha .

6 gig hard drive out of the box .

The hard drive is used very effectively for storing styles , sounds , midi sequences and wav files .
YOu can edit sounds , volumne levels, effects , transposition and panning
right on the hard drive while the sequence plays back .

48 meg's dedicated to the sound ROM .

Vocal kit .

Ability to layer 4 sounds together and split the keyboard 4 times .

Aftertouch + portamento easily accessable .

No OS for SD1 will be released that will incorporates DRUM REMIX feature and newer styles .

These are just some of the reason's I have always liked Ketron products .

I am an Authorized Korg , Roland , Ketron , Technics dealer in USA !
