Starkeeper,
I'll be keeping the Casio. Can't part with that beauty. I've created so many custom voices on that unit now, and custom registration set ups for it that I couldn't even imagine dropping it. Honestly my next board probably won't be an arranger. I'v had my eyes on the Motif ES-7, and plan on buying one of those. Just got to get this move out of the way and get situated

I should have mentioned, that I don't need a vocalizer, since I can't sing.

if you don't need VH go for 1500.
USB and SM + usuable 3k like sounds ,better keys are hard to beat.
check PA 50 too.

1500 is all 3k with no Vocal Harmony and less sweet/kool voices+alittle less styles +no mega voices.

Pa 50 is pa 80 with less output, less expensive options but with SAME sound/function board for nearly 1/2 the price(ie-1000$).

read my explanation link. http://www.synthzone.com/ubbs/Forum37/HTML/009086.html

Thank you George Kay and Jamman, this is very healpful.
The only scary part I saw was this opinion from Jamman, "2100's piano and some voices sound better(1500 ac piano is pretty lame".
When I demoed both PSR1500 and PSR3000 I could hardly tell the difference in the accoustic piano. George Kay assured me that there is a difference.

Unfortunately, I live in Canada, and I would suspect that the customs duty wipes out and discount you might offer. You pay customs duty when importing into the U.S., and I would have to pay it again when it enters Canada. Will email you anyway.
Thanks

1500's piano is regular piano sample-not live! like 2100 or 3k.but it's not that bad.sounds OK in the mix.just sounds a little outdated for a 2004 mid priced arranger KB.(1500 has only 16mb rom,2100 has 32,and 3k has 64mb).but as I said before function/simu efx wise(except VH)1500 is in same level with 3k.

I think I'll check out the 2100 again today, especially the live grand.
Is there a voice list for the PSR2100, PSR1500, PSR3000? I was looking at the PSR1500/PSR3K manual and don't see a voice list.
Thanks again Jamman for replying. Lots of food for thought.

I checked out the PSR2100 again at Walter's Music and they just got in a PSR3000. So I did a head to head on both boards. The PSR3000 blows away the PSR2100. Unfortunately they didn't have a PSR1500, so could not compare the PSR1500 to the PSR2100, but it seems to me that the PSR1500 sounds better from memory. Unless the EQ was adjusted poorly on the PSR2100. If you make an adjustment to the EQ and then turn the keboard off then on, will the EQ not revert back to factory settings?
The salesman then informed me that the store has a 6 month no payments, no interest feature. Visions of PSR3K in my head.
