The is40 has integrated arrangement editor,
new arrangements are done by copying and modifying existing ones and write them into the user arrangements. Usually
used style, instrument settings, tempo and name are enough to get a total new arrangement, don't forget to save if something good was created.

The is40 has no integrated style editor like the i30. See PC shareware demo program GNIStyle http://www2.iicm.edu/korgprog which can be used to create new styles on PC and convert the resulting Korg i3 files
to is40 (with some of the free converters on this page). Its the same conversion as you do when you download a new KORG i3 style or use one from style cdrom (e.g. MidiNet cdrom http://www.midicraft.demon.co.uk, or USB cdrom ).

metro means metronome?
metronome is a Backing sequence feature,
I guess arr, sty playing have no metronome.

time means tempo?
can be set in arr and backing sequence
