Some folks have no idea of dynamic change. It's all or nothin' ... or they just don;t know the difference. I love adding some UD to songs that are tried and true, and my fans don't seem to mind. I'm trying to teach my kids to add a bit of themselves in all their performances. I always thought it was insulting when people said that I sounded "just like the original" Grrrrrr. I know they mean well, but it strips me of my personality. I am an artist, and I take artistic risks. Everyone should.
