Goerge,

Use settings that are in the previous post. I tried to send you the registration file, but using the email address on the page, but they came back saying wrong address.

Gary

Gary, these settings are very different from those posted in your article on the psrtutorial website. Is this your latest experience with using the Crown CM311? I'm following your lead and have just ordered the headset.

Graham,

Since purchasing the PSR-3000, I've had to modify the settings for all my mics. The onboard processor is a bit different that the PSR-2000, which is where the orriginal settings came from.

The Crown CM-311-A has been a fantastic headset mic, particularly when it comes to vocal quality. It's not the most comfortable headset mic I've used, but I expect to modify the headgear in the near future to overcome this.

Anyone that has enjoyed the freedom a headset mic offers, and has the ability to utilize voice control for personalized effects, will really love the Crown CM-311-A. I purchased mine on the advice of Eddie (Btweengigs) and can honestly say it was well worth the investment.

Oh no, and I thought this was going to be easy. Do you believe my Tyros would be closer to the 2000 or 3000?

One of the larger changes was turning the noise gate off and the compressor on. Sorry, but I'm a novice at this.

From what I've read, the vocal processor in the Tyros is closer to the 3000.

OK, I'll set the above settings up as #2 on the SetUp registration bank, and compare with the tutorial setting that I saved on #1.

I just noticed that SVP World are showing your PSR 2000 article to be applicable to the Tyros...............
http://www.svpworld.com/tyrospsrmic.htm

Confused?, I am now.

Graham,

Much of this will depend on the microphone you are using. Additionally, there are slight differences between mics, even from the same model and manufacturer.

I encourage everyone to work with the settings, adjust them to suit your needs, and above all, let your ears be the final judge. In my case, the hearing was the third thing to go, therefore, I consult with my spouse to make the final decission of sound quality. After more than 4 decades of nuptual bliss, she has no qualms about provided me with her unbiased opinion on anything.

I have a wife like that too (even after only 9 years and a day)!

Thanks Gary, I was just looking for a start point so I wouldn't have to reinvent the wheel.
