Hi all,
I have read many posts about the logitech systems. The z2200/z2300/z5300 etc. But I am curious about any opinions or actual hands on knowledge about the logitech z560 system. http://store.yahoo.com/justdeals/9700550403n.html

I do not think this system is sold retail anymore though it is listed on logitechs site. At an original cost of just $199 and a 400 watt rms 4.1 system, how would it compare to the newer 5.1 500 watt system that sells for $399? Do you think the "sound quality" would be very comparable? Or do you think I may find it disappointing?

Though I can not find a new system the z560's can be gotten on ebay and I am interested in any input. Especially from those who are happy with their logitech systems.
Thank you and my best to you all.

Looks like a smaller version of the Z-5500 without the center cross-over speaker and 100 watts less power. The price is definitely right. If it's comparable to the 2200, which I believe from reading the specifications, it is somewhat better, I would go for it.

Good Luck,

Gary

Thanks Gary,
Just the type of response I was hoping for.
I think the sound quality (It's also THX certified)should be as good, don't you think? And it is closer to the 5500 than the 2200/2300 in wattage. Twice the total rms wattage of the smaller system and a 188 watt rms sub.
Anyone ever hear this system?

I'd think twice before buying used, never know if the speakers are shot. usually no guarantee!
I have a z5500 505 watts has the center speaker ( which really makes a difference) I paid $276,00 with free shipping, You'll have to shop to get this price but they're out there. Highly reccomend the z5500 big improvement on vocals and overall sound quality, lots of volume and it stays clear. Will do a medium club no problems.....Pose

Excellent review that really goes into the system in depth.

Cheers,

Gary

It has got me thinking of getting one for my gigs and keeping my Z2200 for home use, although I have never run out of volume. The remote and multiple in connections are good.

I bought an X-530 system from Sam's Club for my studio yesterday for $57. They had the X-560 system, which has similar specs to the X-530 system, for around the same price. The X-530 had the center speaker and the speakers were wall-mountable.

I needed a surround-sound compatible speaker system for my computer just to help me with surround mixing but I'll use my existing studio monitors for the actual production monitoring. I had to turn the sub all the way to it's lowest setting and then use my computer's software EQ to roll off even more bass before the system sounded anywhere near balanced. The Logitech speaker systems all seem to suffer from nearly uncontrollable bass but they are cheap at least.

Hi Tony,
Wondering if you could share how much you paid and from where?
