What are the differences in the DGX-200 and 202? Also im probly getting the 202 tommorrow. i just dont know where to get the 202 cuz its not at best buy only the 200 is there. If i dont get an answer then i'll just get the 200, they seem like the same thing anyway.

Early this morning, I posted a long reply to this question and now it is gone. Dan O'Neal also answered this as well. I don't know what's going on here. Oh well, I'll say it again:
The DGX202 has 76 synth looking keys and has a split and dual mode which allows you to use any voices you wish. The DGX200/300/500 have presets you can use, but you can't do as much as with the DGX202. The DGX202 also has a data wheel for selecting sounds, songs and styles and the DGX300/500 do not. The reason for this is that Yamaha designed the DGX300/500 and also the DGX200 I believe (not sure because they don't make the DGX200 available to US dealers, only to wherehouse stores) after the PSR350 which was already out over 2 years ago. The newer DGX202 had been designed more recently and so the feature set was different. The DGX300/500 were designed to look more like acoustic pianos with a more "refined" look and the DGX202 has more the "electronic keyboard" look. Another difference is that on the DGX202, the buttons called voice, style, song and Music Data Base all light up and on the DGX300/500 they do not light up.
I sell all these and have them all in stock at my store in California and I ship all over the USA if you are interested.
Regards,
George

We ordered the DGX-200 last night off best buy.com since its out of stock cuz its so popular. We also ordered like 4 accesories for it(stand, sustain pedal, adapter, and dust cover. When I tried the DGX-200 at best buy a few weeks ago. It had that wheel for selecting things faster. And i also looked at the specs last night on yamahapkclub.com and both keyboards had the exact same specs. The only difference i noticed between the 200 and 202 is that they're different colors. Heh i wonder they're the same price.
