...adjust the volume of individual parts in a style accompaniment? Not looking for OTS or anything complicated, just a simple way, for example, to turn down only the percussion or turn up only the guitar, etc.

What would be even more help is a way this could be done "on the fly" during a performance.

Thanks in advance for any help on this...

Hi MR Bulk,
You have asked a question I have been meaning
to ask the forum, it was a very straight forward procedure on the 740 model but once again the radical changes in the 2000's design has caused us consternation.
Another addition to your question is can the different drum part's volumes be adjusted, this feature was available on my old Roland RA90 (circa 1995), you could increase/decrease the volume
of all the drums within the kit...ie..Bass Drum, Snare, Cymbals, Toms, Hi-Hat, I fear Yamaha has still not offered this option on their arranger keyboard's.

Hi,

By pressing Mixing Console button repeatedly you can access to Panel Part, Style Part, Song Ch 1- 8 and Song Ch 9 - 16 (read carefuly pages 121 to 127 of owner's manual). After using Side, below display, Back, Next and Exit Buttons you can change a lot of parameters.
Also use the Cannel On/Off button.
It's easy. Only it's necessary a little practice.
E.g. Change the volume of track 9 in a style:
- Press Mixing Console Button until appear Style Part.
- Press side Back / Next butons until appear VOL/VOICE display.
- Press J button to Highlight the Volume Row.
- Use Button 1 Up/Down to change the Volume.
- To better hear the effect press Cannel On/off button and buttons 1 to 8 Up/Down to mute/unmute same tracks.
- Press Exit button to return to the previous display and adjust more precisely the desired Volume track.
- Repeat some of above points for others tracks.
(- If necessary press Next/Back buttons to access and adjust other parameters like Filter, Tune, Effect, EQ.)
- Press Exit Button several times to return to the Main Menu.
- If necessary press Channel On/Off button to verify if it's some part muted. Again Exit.
