Hi Fran,
looks like it may be based on the Vari Phrase technolgy of the VP9000 sampler?
One of the functions that really intriqued me with the VA7.

Great to see they've got some new and innovative products out.

best wishes
Rikki

Fran, the new E-09 Roland Arranger looks like it's a GW-7 with onboard amplification! It appears to have identical specs as the GW-7, with the same world styles and tones! Cool! I've been loving my GW-7, especially after buying the style software from Germany...what a great songwriting tool!

On of my close friends had a choir when he married... you know, one of the typical soon-to-be-wife questions: "shall we have the archbishop, and a choir and someone to throw rose petals to the guests, darling??". asked in a "if you say no, you cheap bastard, then you are going to be in deep sh_t" manner.

I didn't pay very much attention up to the point I looked to see where the chorus was located.

I was astonished to see only ONE guy having a microphone, and no place where the choir would hide. I went closer, and he had a very little (maybe 3 1/2 octaves, small keys) keyboard in fron of him, in the place where they usually keep their books. It had some kind of cloth over most of it, doing a very good job of disguising it.

This cheater was singing (sometimes humming, complimenting the priest's psalms) in the microphone and the little gizmo provided the harmonies, and it was sounding VERY good, and of course he was surely paid the amount you would give to a choir!!!! Talk about lost jobs!!!!!!

I have no clear recollection, but I think I saw Korg written on it. Never looked it up.
Theodore

This one looks especially tasty. Can't wait to hear some samples. It's a shame you have to add another keyboard to the mix for the vocals though.

Good Catch, Fran

The vocal keyboard looks very interesting. After last night's choir rehearsal, I may be getting one of these. Nice to see some new Roland gear.

I don't imagine it would sound much different than the VC-2 vocal card for the Roland V-synth would it? This sounds to me like a VC-2 with keys.

I don't think it is like the VC-2...I think it will be the vocoder feature of the DisCover5 and G70..

On second thought the VC-2 is probably the same technology..

Hi Fran,
so it's actually more of a Vocalizer??
I'm not all that familiar with the Discover.
(The VP in the name tricked me. haa haa.)
thanks Fran

best wishes
