Hello,

I know that the XP-30 is not an arranger but I would appreciate
if somone could compare sound quality between those boards.
I am planning to buy an arranger but I am also impressed by XP-30
sounds so I would like to know if need to buy both or just one of
arrangers (PA80 or X1)

thanks

If you are impressed by the XP 30 sounds and are interested into buying an arranger, the best thing you can do is to check out the Roland VA 7 or VA 5: they are among the best arrangers on the market and exhibit most of the sounds you seem to like so much in the XP 30. In my opinion, those who love the "Roland sound" are not likely to be impressed by the "Korg sound" or the "Ketron sound", and viceversa. (It's just a matter of taste and personal preference, I guess).

Denis,
It’s a question of personal taste. I don’t know much about Roland, but I compared the PA80 to my X1 side by side before. I liked the Piano and the Strings sounds in the PA80 over the X1,and I liked every other sound (especially Sax-Flute-Violin) in the X1 over PA80 (That’s my personal opinion).
As far as drums go, X1 is a winner.
