I have taken a few minutes to do a quick live recording of some dance songs that I do on the Tyros 2.

please excuse the stuff ups and miss times as it was the one off take. i couldnt be bothered trying over 5 attempts to not make any mistakes

I have only used factory sounds and styles - NO sampling or editing.

I think its about time someone put some modern dance/trance stuff up have a listen to what can be done on the T2.

If anyone has some recordings of the same style music from their keyboard may it be Yamaha, Roland, Korg, or whatever else... please post it for us to listen!

here is the link: http://www.4shared.com/dir/683746/2fde0c1/sharing.html
in case you dont know, its the third one down called Nick G - Dance_mix

Cheers,
Nick

Hi Nick:

Gave a listen have to be up front with you this style of music is not my cup of tea, but can appreciate your playing skills and creativity. Needs lights, fog and expert dancers to watch, for a old geaser like me.

I am empressed with the sound and quality of the styles of the dance music on Yamahas, I think they are the best there. I used a dance style "club" on my old 9000 a couple of years back but put the geaser touch to it he he and did a Louie Armstrong "mack the Knife" used a trumpet and used the squeaky door and screams on the multipads, old and young alike enjoyed it. You did good, Personally enjoy hearing mistakes once in a while adds realism to the music, If mistakes bothered me then I would just listen to a studio made CD. every player "live" makes at least one or more, this was a long one I only caught two in it (maybe they were intenional just to see if anyone's listening..LOL...good show thanks for posting.......pose

Nick,

Congratulations! Very good work.

It seems the only thing T2 misses is knobs and sliders. I concur with pose this track needs lights and fogs.

Regards,
George

Hi Nick
having the painfully slow dial-up think it will take an eternity to load all 8000kb'z..is it an option to throw it on the yammaha-psr-styles@yahoogroups.com..or soundclick.com??

I can try that for you,

It might be easier for me to just cut it up into sections for you.

I was going to take it down anyways and record a much better more 'prepaired' version using better sounds etc.

but in the meantime i will cut up the existing one and upload that for you.
