Hi

Thanks for the comments.

Craig_UK,

Do you mean that the G-1000 sounds better than the G-70 or are you just kidding.

Regards Niels

Hi!

As a former T1 owner I must say that this was among the best I ever heard on a KB!! The next one will definitely be a G70.

Thanks Niels for an outstanding perfomance.

/Mats

Hi

Thanks for the nice commentes.

Mats,
The G-70 has become a very good keyboard after a couple of updates, so just go for it.

Dnj,
Your right, you have to work with a keyboard to uptain the sound you like. It´s very easy and quick with the G-70´s Makeup Tools.

Regards Niels

Hi Niels,

Though I have been playing Korg over the last five years I must admit that this time I am impressed by the sound of the G70.
The problem as I have stated many times is that with the G70 you simply have to do a lot of tweaking as to me it sounds pretty awful straight out of the box. But in the end it pays as is shown by your rendering of
When the Saints..........
A friend of mine has a G70 and though an excellent player he is lousy at getting the proper registrations. I myself have worked out many "performances" for the korg, freely made available thru the internet, ( user programs in Roland terms) and was wondering if you could provide him with a more decent set of user programs e.g. the ones you currently use yourself ?
And why is it that you are literally inundated with new and converted styles for all keyboards, in particular the G70 as well, and no decent new "user programs" (total registrations)????

kind regards,

The G70 sounds and styles are not leaps and bounds above the G1000 in order to make me lose money part exchanging and purchasing a G70, it's a major disappoinment in my opinion. It's about time Roland brought something decent out as the VA7 range (useless for live use) and G70 are not the do all and end all of arranger keyboards as they promised
Come on Roland get with it!

You are of course entitled to have this opinion. However, having played the G-70 intensively through the recent 13 months I couldn't disagree with you more! The G-70 moves far ahead of the G-1000 regarding styles and sounds! And BTW - comparing several other features the G-70 leaves it's competitors standing.

I think that Niels's demo is saying more than a hundred words. Thank you for the great demo Niels! Some of us listen to the demo and think to ourselves: this definitely sounds better than the G-1000....

Looking at this from a techincal view then both the sounds and styles ARE actually "leaps and bounds above the G1000"... just look at the specifications . the sounds quality has improved dramatically and, the amount of arranger part tracks has improved dramatically, adapting voicing has been introduced, the style concept has been redesigned etc. etc. In my view this speaks for it self And another thing... the G-70 styles are far more sophisticated than the G-1000. This is a simple fact (has nothing to do with subjectivity)!

However - it's fine with me that this is how you hear it. We all have different taste and I certainly respect that. I can just conclude that you can't hear nor see the improvements done here... strange as this is to me Out of curiosity: what arranger instrument do you play yourself? The G-1000? Have you actually tried to play the G-70? Since I did that I have not one time looked back on my G-1000. In my view the G-1000 is now out of the league...

To the rest of you, who want to listen to more demos from Niels, you can find them at the user club website . I can inform you that more demos will follow in a few days

Kind regards

Yes I agree with Weisefar. I played the G1000 and the VA7 and they were very good
instruments but now I am a G70-player.
The G70 is the best of the Rolandinstruments
you can buy today.
