I have been writing a document in which I explain everything I have learned about the X3 SNG format by experimenting with my X3. A first version should be available very soon (2 or 3 weeks), but if you are very, very interested I can send you a preliminary version of it.

Any help is welcome !

Will this document inform N264\364 users as well?

for Korg i3 song format (16 tracks) was simply a primitive header 16 bytes and the decoded sysex dump as explained in manual.

it started with KORGI in file...

maybe KorgX format is similiar

Oh, no! Oh, yes !

I just looked into my X3 manual and there was the full description of the sysex dump. The SNG file is, as you mention, the sysex dump with a header before...

Well, this could spare me a lot of job, especially that relating the bytes unknown to me.

Thanks for your information, gnagler!

Sorry, SM58, I didn't answer you. If you provide me with a sysex description of the N364 sequencer's dump and some SNG files, I fancy I will be able to tell if my description applies to you. (I am almost sure it does)
