I was thinking that if I can get my softsynth arranger going, I would buy a Roland VR760 or it's replacement instead of buying an arranger. It has 76 keys, which could be used to control the arranger, excellent organ voices, waterfall keys, takes SRX cards.

the closest thing to the VR760 is the G70. 76 keys, VK8 Organ, Draw bars, Great Pianos but no waterfall keys......76 semi weighted, great feeling though. It also gets you an arranger, 16 track sequencer and a great vocal harmonizer. One Expansion board from the SRX library can be installed easily.

The G70 is the closest to the VR 760, but a lot more expensive. If you're going to use softsynths, then keep looking for a good used 760. I love mine; only use my PSR2000 when absolutely necessary.

I didn't see a lot of master keyboard capabilities in the VR-760..........

If you are going the softsynth route, probably one of the M-Audio master keyboards, or something with LOTS of sliders, buttons and pads would be a better choice.

Lots cheaper, and more flexible than a VR-760.

I know the VR760 wasn't designed as a MIDI controller, but it would have awesome voices and I like the idea of waterfall keys. I would not have to purchase high quality softsynths for lead voices.
